The HubSpot Integration makes it easy to quickly verify email address lists from your HubSpot account in order to determine their quality before sending them out. You can import or export data between the two platforms using the integration we provide. Get started with HubSpot email validation with our simple guide.
This step-by-step tutorial will show you how to use DataValidation and HubSpot together to improve your email marketing list quality and efforts.
What you need to get started:
You can also signup directly with Hubspot and grant us access to your HubSpot account. Just input your login credentials and you’re good to go.
Login to your DataValidation account and in the top right corner of your screen, you should see a red + Add lists button. Once you click on it, a new pop-up will appear.
Click Integrations and then select Link with HubSpot.
You will be redirected to HubSpot and asked to login to your account. By logging in, you are granting us access to the contact lists in your HubSpot account.
Don’t worry; your HubSpot credentials are never shared with DataValidation.
Once you have authorized DataValidation to access your HubSpot account, you will see that your HubSpot account will appear in the import sources list. Select the list you wish to verify by clicking Import selected lists.
Your list will be imported and analyzed to determine the number of email addresses in the list, and once the import finishes you will receive a Free Quality Report with a score from 0 to 100 which represents the overall health of your email
list and a Grade Breakdown.
Don’t worry, you will receive an email notifying you when the validation process has completed.
To sync the validation results back to your HubSpot account you will need to purchase the validated email list/lists. Only after checkout will your be able to use the email database cleaner with your HubSpot account. Click on Add to cart, which will add the list to your cart. You can add all the lists you want to validate to the shopping cart before checkout.
Complete the checkout and that’s it! Your validation results will now be synced back to your HubSpot account.
In order to have the results display in your list as new columns, click on Customize, then click on Edit Columns, then scroll down to the bottom of the list, under DataValidation Details, and check the checkboxes for the columns you want to have added, and click Save.

The information we sync to your Hubspot account can be used to filter your list and send your campaigns only to a certain segment of your list. To create a filter, click on + Add filter, then scroll down under DataValidation Details and click on the filter that you want to apply.
Next, put in the criteria that you want your addresses to be filtered by. The easiest way to go about this is to select the DV safe to send filter and put in Yes under Contains, which will only take the email addresses that are safe to send to, the ones graded A+ and/or A.
Furthermore, you can stack up multiple filters. For example, you also add the NOT-DI email addresses under the DV is disposable, in order to keep the disposable email addresses out of your sending list, and then do the same thing for role-based emails, if you want to have only non-role-based emails in your list. This way you have full control over your list, in light of the validation results.
