GetResponse Integration Guide

GetResponse is an email marketing platform that enables you to create a valuable marketing list of prospects, partners, and clients. This allows you to develop relationships with them and build a responsive and profitable customer base.

This step-by-step tutorial will walk you through the process of linking your GetResponse account with DataValidation and using our email verification service to verify your email list.

What you will need to get started:

  • A DataValidation account
  • A GetResponse account with an email list

To get started, login to your DataValidation account and click on the + Add lists button.
Then, select Integrations and then click Link with GetResponse.

You will then be redirected to the GetResponse login page and prompted to enter your login credentials for your account. After you have logged in, you will be asked if you would like to authorize our email cleaner service to access your account. Please click Yes to proceed.

You will then be taken back to your DataValidation account and you will see that your GetResponse account has been added to the email verification import sources list.

After you click on it, you will see all your GetResponse email lists. Select the ones you want to import and click on Import selected lists. Once imported the list will be analyzed and verified just like an uploaded list.

Once the import finishes you will receive the Free List Quality Report with a score from 0 to 100 which represents the overall health of your email list and Grade Details. You can learn more about what the free report includes here.

To sync the verification results back to your GetResponse account, you need to purchase the verified email list.

Click on Add to cart, which will add the list to your cart. You can add all the lists you want to verify to the shopping cart before checkout.

Complete the checkout and that’s it! Now your verified list results will be synced back you your GetResponse account.

You can also download the results file from your DataValidation dashboard.

How to use the verified list in GetResponse

Now that you have purchased the verification, you can click on a contact in your GetResponse account to see the results it received from our application.

You can use these grades and codes to filter out the undeliverable addresses from your list. To do so you will need to select the list that you verified from your GetResponse account, then create a new filter by clicking on Add Condition.

For this example we will be creating a condition that filters the emails by whether or not DataValidation considers the email to be safe to send to. This means that the email was given either an A or an A+ grade by our application.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1. In the first field select the condition Contact Details
  2. In the second field select Custom Field
  3. In the third field you will select the custom field dv_safe_to_send
  4. In the fourth field you will select the condition is
  5. In the fifth field you will need to type the word yes
  6. Then click Apply
  7. After you have created the conditions you will then click the Save as custom filter button below and name the filter.

Now that the custom filter has been created, you can select it when sending out your campaign.

When you create a campaign in GetResponse you will come to a step that will ask you which of your subscribers you want to be included. From this page you can select the filter that you created in the previous step that we have named DV Safe to Send.

Now the campaign will only be sent to emails that received an A or an A+ deliverability score.
