Our Emma integration allows you to easily import your email groups, verify your email lists and export the verification results back to Emma using our email list cleaner.
What you need to get started:
To get started, login to your DataValidation account and click on + Add lists.
Then, select Integrations and click on Link with Emma.
You will be redirected to the Emma login page and asked to input your login credentials. The window will close and DataValidation will connect to your Emma account.
A few seconds later, you will see that your Emma account has appeared in the import sources list. After you click on it, you will see all your Emma email groups. Select the ones you want to import and click on Import selected lists. Once imported, the group will be analyzed and verified.
Once the first stage of the verification process is completed, you will receive the Free List Quality Report with a score from 0 to 100, which represents the overall health of your email group. This score is based on the grades that we assigned to each email address in your list. You can see the percentages of email addresses that fall into each grade category by clicking on View Details.
In order to sync the verification results back to your Emma account, you need to purchase the verified email group. Click on Add to cart, which will add the list to your cart. You can add all the groups you want to verify to the shopping cart before checkout.
Complete the checkout and that’s it! Now the final stage of the verification process will be performed, and when it’s done, the verification results will be synced back to your Emma account. You can also download the results in a .csv file from your DataValidation dashboard.
In your Emma account, go to the group that you verified and you will notice that we’ve added four new fields to it. These fields contain information pertaining to the validity of your email addresses. You will be able to use this information to create a segment that contains only the email addresses we confirmed to be valid and safe to send to.
Below you will find a brief description of each of these fields:
In this example, we will create a segment that it will only contain the A+ and A graded email addresses in your group. To create a segment, select Segments, and then click on Create a new segment.
Name your segment, then, under Find contacts based on, select Audience groups from the dropdown list.
Select the name of the group with the verified list, and click Save.
Click on the Add Another button.
Now, find contacts based on Contact information.
Select DV safe to send.
Select equals, and type Yes. Then click Save.
Click Create Segment.
Here you will see all email addresses graded with A and A+. These are the email addresses that were confirmed as valid by our system. You can also make sure only non-disposable email addresses are included in your list, by adding another condition to your segment, via the Add Another button. The fun part is that you can segment your groups any way you want.
